The large enclosed area of Portsmouth Harbour not only provides a safe haven but is also excellent for day sailing, exploring, pottering or as a base to visit the many local amenities, shops and restaurants. The moorings are in an area of special scientific interest due to the number of migratory birds.
Access to the water is by the public slipway and pontoon next to the Hardway Sailing Club. There is ample free parking in St Helier Road. The moorings are fully maintained by our staff and checked regulary.
Nearby Portsmouth provides a wealth of attractions for visitors including shopping at Gunwarf Quays, the Spinnaker Tower, Lord Nelsons flagship HMS Victory, Royal Navy Submarine Museum, HMS Warrior, Historic Dockyard, D-Day Museum, Royal Marines Museum, Charles Dickens' birthplace and Explosion! to name but a few.
