However you choose to get there, once you're on the Isle of Wight you're on holiday. And anywhere near Cowes and it has to be a yachting holiday. There is no escape.
You can't escape the incredible yachting history, and you'll certainly be surrounded by yacht racing nuts as soon as you enter the River. But continue up the Medina a little further, and it all gets more relaxed; arrive at East Cowes Marina and you'll find everything very chilled indeed. There's a brilliant pub there too.
A favourite for rallies, and for visitors looking to explore the Island, it's also a great place to keep your boat all year round. The water taxis and chain ferry will connect you back to reality should you wish.
