Bangor Marina is situated on the southern shores of Belfast Lough, close to all Irish Sea cruising routes. Our location right in the heart of Bangor town, encompassed by extensive breakwaters makes Bangor Marina unique in offering sheltered, safe and secure berthing. Visitors will find hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, banks, post offices, leisure centre and cinemas within walking distance of the marina, together with golf course and tennis courts. International tourist attractions such as the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum and Heritage Centre are close by.
The Marina itself provides all the usual facilities which are maintained to a very high standard and is operated 24 hours a day by friendly and efficient staff. There are many locally based firms providing a wide range of marine services for resident and visiting boat owners. Also based at the Marina are HM Coastguard Marine Rescue Sub Centre (Belfast Coastguard) and the Royal national Lifeboat Institutions Atlantic 85 Lifeboat 'Jessie Hillyard'. Quay Marinas Limited participates in the Yacht Harbour Associations 'Gold Anchor Award' scheme. This scheme operates in a similar way to the hotel star ratings scheme; marinas are rated for facilities provided, customer service and operational systems. Bangor Marina has achieved the highest rating of 5 Gold Anchors.
