Set entirely within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Goytre Wharf's charming character and away-from-it-all atmosphere owes something to its breathtaking surroundings. Nestled amongst the hills approximately 5 miles from the historic market town of Abergavenny, Goytre Wharf offers fully serviced moorings for up to 116 narrow boats and cruisers in a prime location on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal. Boat owners can expect to relax and enjoy the carefully lanscaped grounds in harmony with stunning views.
As if quietly bathing in the beauty of the marina was not enough there are plenty of sights to see and things to do in and around Abergavenny, Falconry and Craft Centre's, a well equipped Leisure Centre, a number of impressive castles and Antiquities and a variety of pubs and restaurants. A few miles away on the other side of the hill is Blaenavon. In the 1860's the designated World Heritage Site was at the centre of the largest iron producing region in the world, using new techniques for smelting and rolling. The remains of the blast furnaces and works can be seen.
We are delighted that Goytre Wharf Marina has recently received 2 Gold Anchors from The Yacht Harbour Association's prestigious award scheme.
